Global Settings
From Clarizen
The Clarizen Global Settings tab is divided into three sections, each of which allows you to update organization level settings, including location, timezone, cost and billing rates, currencies and the organization calendar.
Using the Customization features, you have the ability to add additional fields into the organization, also known as global fields. All organization fields can be used and referenced across the application using the Clarizen customization capabilities.
Organization
Within the organization tab admin users have the ability to update the following:
- Company Logo
- To change the company logo click on the "Change" button next to the current logo (by default this is the Clarizen logo
- Supported file formats for logo are .gif, .jpg and .png
- Recommended logo size is Height - 40px, Width - 10-140px
- Name
- The default organization name is the name entered upon registration, this can be changed by entering a new name into the "Name" field
- To remove the organization name from the top of the screen, uncheck the "Display Organization Name" checkbox
- Industry Type
- Drop down list of industry types
- Organization Size
- Drop down list of employee numbers
- Package Type
- Displays the Clarizen package type, either Enterprise or Professional
- Organization Language
- Allows you to set the default system language
- This can be customized by group or per individual user
- Available languages include: English, Chinese (both simplified and traditional), French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Russian and Spanish
- Default Workflow User
- If using the Customization engine, specifically business rules, you are required to fill in the Default Workflow User field
- Defines who will be set as the "Last Updated By" or "Created by" user when objects are updated/created using workflow rules that do not point to a specific user
- Currency Type
- Allows you to set the default organizational currency
- Country
- Allows you to set your default organizational country
- State
- Only accessible if your Country is set to the United States
- Time Zone
- Allows you to set your default organizational time zone
- Can be set for groups and individual users

Default Cost and Billing Rates
This tab allows you to set the default cost and billing rates of users within the system.
Both cost and billing rates can be set on a group or individual user bases where the user level setting will override the group level setting and the organization level settings.
The cost and billing rates are used to automatically calculate the Cost and Revenue from work items.
Organization Calendar
The organization calendar allows you to set working days and hours for your users.
You also have the ability to add new exceptions, such as bank holidays or company vacations.
Calendars can also be created on a group, user or project level, where the more specific object will override the setting of the more general object.
