The Customization tab within the Settings is only visible to system administrators and allows customization of Clarizen to suit your organizational needs.

Fields
Clarizen’s Custom Fields feature is a powerful tool that allows you to define any type of custom field within any entity including; textual, pick list, dates, currencies, numeric, time effort, reference to other objects and more.
Each field type can be set to be manually entered by the user or based on a simple or advanced formulas.
Additionally, a multitude of standard custom fields can be edited with picklist values to fit your organizational standards.
Customers with Professional edition have the ability to create up to 3 custom fields.
Customers with Enterprise edition have the ability to create up to 100 custom fields.
Business Rules
Clarizen’s Business Rules help you automate your business workflow and unify business methodologies by setting up triggers and rules that run automatically.
Business rules can be created for every entity type within the organization and include both workflow rules and validation rules.
Customers with Professional edition have the ability to create up to 3 business rules.
Customers with Enterprise edition have the ability to create up to 200 business rules.
Custom Actions
Clarizen's Custom Actions allow you to trigger workflow rules based on user input.
These workflow rules are triggered by the end user on any object within the organization.
Customers with Professional edition have the ability to create up to 3 custom actions.
Customers with Enterprise edition have the ability to create up to 100 custom actions.
Applications
The Applications tab allows users to create, install and view apps from the AppMarketplace.
Clarizen has prepared and packaged ready-made pre-configured sets of Business Rules that you can download and install directly into your Clarizen account.
In addition to the pre-configured Apps, you have the ability to create your own sets of packaged validation and workflow rules to use within your organization.
You can also decide to package and upload these Apps to the Clarizen AppsMarketplace for other Clarizen users to access and install. In the future, you will be able to control access to your App and even decide to charge money for access.
Extensions
The extensions tabs allows users to create Roadmap and Gantt widgets.
In addition, you can view and activate the available integrations that Clarizen offers.
The integrations include:
- Google Apps
- Google Apps is a web-based office suite offering document creation and collaboration among other functionalities. Working with Google Apps enables your entire organization to collaborate and share vital project information in a secure and easy manner
- Salesforce
- This integration enables you to organize and manage your Salesforce opportunities and campaigns within Clarizen projects. Additionally you can monitor project progress and notifications directly from your Salesforce account.
- Zendesk
- Zendesk extends good help desk karma to any company looking to offer professional-grade support service with very little effort. Perfect for companies of all sizes, growing with your organization, easily adapting to fit new or evolving work flows and processes with no downloading, installation or managing.
- Microsoft Outlook
- Clarizen’s add-in for Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 helps you work with traceable action items. You can create, update, send and receive action items via email, directly from your Outlook. More information and detailed instructions are available on the download page
- AutoCad
- The Clarizen AutoCAD integration allows AutoCAD users to track and update their tasks directly from within their AutoCAD environment. Using this integration you can enhances your execution abilities, organizational visibility, and team collaboration. Find out more on the download page.
- SolidWorks
- Enable your SolidWorks users to interact with Clarizen without leaving their SolidWorks environment. With this integration, users can create, update and keep track of their tasks, allowing them to better collaborate with their team and organization.
